MAPSview - Data Use Policy (Rules-of-the-Road)

The MAPS Key Parameter data files accessible throught this web site are available to the entire Cassini science community. The data should become available roughly one month after download from the spacecraft. The data available for download from these sites is not to be considered in the public domain until archived in the PDS one year after download from the spacecraft.

It should be clear that the data is being produced quickly in order to facilitate coordinated science and therefore will not have been scrutinized to the same extent as data ready for archiving. Because of this, the data should be considered first look and PI consultation should be undertaken before extensive scientific study.

Until it has been archived in the PDS, the MAPS Key Parameter data will be governed by the MAPS Rules-of-the-Road and by the Cassini Rules-of-the-Road documents. Please read and review these documents before downloading any data.
